Population Issues
When we examine the population problem, we can see that this is not just a problem for developing countries. For this reason, an international response on how to protect developing countries and control population growth. I cannot help but feel that the world coming together will ultimately guarantee a secure future for all people.
『The population growth of developing countries is often discussed, but the underlying problem seems to have been the demand for resources (agricultural and mining resources) and cheap labor demanded by the industrialized countries. Since developing countries have been forced to shift from a subsistence to a monetary economy, they need stability in their livelihoods to feed their growing populations, and I believe that solving this problem will lead, albeit gradually, to a reduction in population growth.』
『The dissemination of a broad range of education, including birth control, is likely to be the key to solving this problem. Appropriate support from developed countries, based on a full understanding of the current situation and needs of developing countries, is crucial.』
『However, it is also true that current population growth projections point to a future in which the population will explode beyond the balance of the food chain. In the limited space of the earth, there is a balance in terms of the appropriate number of individuals as living organisms, but such a concept is not well known. The ecological balance of the food chain must be maintained in order to maintain stability, and if not, it will gradually collapse. In this case, the food problem will become particularly serious. If the population grows inexhaustibly, there will surely be a shortage of food on the limited Earth. If this is exactly what happens, it is feared that the possibility of chaos (disorder) will increase. Since the total number of people that can be tolerated can be roughly determined from the cultivated area of the earth, isn’t it necessary to consider actions to connect generations within such a framework? On the other hand, technological innovations are emerging in which agriculture is carried out in factories that are less affected by the environment, and I think such advances are worthy of attention.』
