When we think about communication, we now have a variety of tools such as email, chat, SNS, and blogs, which have become convenient, but at the same time, there are fewer opportunities to learn about important communication and sociability between people, and I think that we need to focus on this area. On the other hand, I think that it is very important to consider not only how to use these new technologies, but also how they will be used and their impact on others in advance when developing such technologies.

『(In the past) If I wanted to contact someone quickly, I used my home phone or a coin-operated or card-operated pay phone. Mail was also frequently used. It was a time when handwriting was gradually replaced by typewriters or word processors. Basically, the only way to communicate with people was to meet them, and this was a very important means of communication.
(Today) We can contact people at any time using various tools such as e-mail, chat, SNS, and blogs. In addition, by using sharing tools, we can communicate with many people at the same time. It has become very convenient, and we have benefited greatly from it. However, on the other hand, there are far fewer opportunities to meet and talk with others in person. Furthermore, with the reality of monitoring each other through SNS and the pressure to conform, it can be said that people are suffocated by the suffocating situation and it has become difficult to build interpersonal relationships. The origin of very important human interaction is meeting and communicating with each other. Because of this, it seems that opportunities to learn sociability have drastically decreased both before and after entering society.』

『I fear that tools that could be said to have ultimately neglected the important communication and heart-to-heart contact between people have become widespread and widespread before their respective uses and the situations in which they should be utilized have been fully evaluated and verified. I think it is necessary to rethink how to teach and learn important methods of communication.  I believe that tools born from technological advances can be very meaningful if they are used with such consideration in mind.』
