We have obtained a convenient life on the basis of the inventions of people in the past. Rather than stopping these activities, I think it is important to identify the measures we can take now to get out of the crisis and work toward them. To give an example, energy use is essential, so I think we need to clarify what means we can use and develop, and promote efforts to prevent global warming.

『So what should we start with? First of all, I think we should start by eliminating as many actions as possible that are harmful to the global environment. I am by no means saying that it is better to stop all human activities. Depending on the action, I think there is no problem if we conduct a thorough environmental assessment and consider the pros and cons of proceeding with it.』
