Are major problems looming close at hand being overlooked?(1)

I have thought about why we are not trying to face these issues, even though we have big problems to deal with. It may be because modern society is so busy, but it seems that people tend to be indifferent to things other than the immediate future. The fact that indifference is extremely dangerous can be seen from the fact that it is too late to regret after a major disaster has occurred. I think we must never forget that if we do not remove the threat, there is a real possibility that it will lead to an irreversible future.

『I think people generally tend to be preoccupied with immediate things and their own concerns, and to be indifferent to things around them that do not directly affect them or their families. We care about our loved ones, family, friends, and colleagues or school colleagues, but unless there is a particularly big impact, it seems that our feelings about the earth and the environment are not very apparent. However, as I have pointed out so far, the global environment is in a situation where we need to take the right measures immediately. It is unfortunately too late to look back and wonder how we came to this state until after a catastrophe has occurred. Also, even if we are told that there are threats of terrorism and missiles, we forget about them before we know it because we are busy. However, the threats are undoubtedly real.
